Drug Benefit Program
The
PreScrip Managed Care Prescription Drug Program included
on you Benefits Association Prestige Card will enable you
to take advantage of substantial savings on your prescription
drugs.
PreScrip
has a national network of more than 40,000 participating
chains and independent pharmacies which will provide
affordable, quality prescription programs throughout the
United States. A partial listing is provided below.
How
Does it Work?
You
can take full advantage of your PreScrip program by simply
presenting your Prestige Card to your pharmacist each time
you have a prescription filled. The Benefits Association
Number is listed below the PreScrip logo on the reverse
side of the Prestige Card. Next, the pharmacist will need
your social security number which will identify you to the
PreScrip program. The prescription is then entered into
the pharmacist's computer which will transmit the information
to PreScrip. It's just that easy!
What
Will My Savings Be?
Once
your prescription is entered to your pharmacist's computer
and sent to PreScrip, they will tell your pharmacist how
much he can charge you for your prescription. In the majority
of cases the charge will be less than the standard retail
price. Should the pharmacist price be lower for any reason,
you will always be charged the lower of the two prices.
What
If My Pharmacy is Not a Member of PreScrip?
If
your pharmacy is not a member of the PreScrip network, you
can ask them to call the PreScrip Help Desk at 800-577-6484
and they will be happy to enroll your pharmacy immediately
into the network at no charge. If your pharmacist does not
want to enroll, the Help Desk will assist you in locating
a pharmacy in your area that will gladly take your prescription
under the program.
